Looking for things to do in Lingfield? Well, you’ve landed in a rather lovely little corner of Surrey.
We’re talking beautiful countryside, brilliant walks, wildlife-filled days out, historic houses, horse racing and plenty of good reasons to get out and about. And, conveniently, there’s a rather special 16th-century pub waiting at the end of it all.
That’s us. The Red Barn. (Hello.)
So pull on your walking boots, round up the family, grab the dog (pretty please) and make a proper day of it. We’ve got a feeling you’ll like it here.

One thing leads to another around here. A walk turns into lunch. A trip to the wildlife centre turns into a well-earned pint. A day at the races turns into dinner and drinks.
And that’s rather the point.
You can make a whole day out of your trip to Surrey – there’s plenty here to keep you busy.

Surrey has something for everyone.
Castles, gardens, areas of outstanding natural beauty – plenty of good days-out options.

Fancy a day out that’s a little bit wild? British Wildlife Centre should be top of your bucket list.
Spend a day meeting some of Britain’s most wonderful wildlife, from cheeky otters to magnificent deer and plenty of furry, feathery and four-legged friends in between. It’s the sort of place where you can quite happily lose a few hours (and possibly your heart to a particularly adorable red squirrel).
Then, when you’ve seen enough wildlife for one day, there’s only one thing left to do. Come in for a proper lunch, a well-earned drink or a relaxed dinner and turn a lovely day out into a properly brilliant one.

Lingfield Park is right here in the neighbourhood, bringing horse racing, big days out and just the right amount of excitement to the Surrey countryside.
And when the final race is run, don’t let the day end there.
Swap the grandstand for our beer garden (or cosy up by the fire) and race-day excitement for a well-earned pint and some delicious pub food.
When you’ve had a winning day our Lingfield pub is a rather lovely place to finish it.
Race day, good food, a few drinks – now that’s what we call a result.
Our rather special 16th-century pub is perfect for long, lazy lunches, well-earned pints, family feasts and those just-one-drink evenings that somehow turn into three (it happens.)
We’re passionate about good food, proper pub classics, uber-local British ingredients and a warm welcome. And when Sunday comes around, we’re talking big, fat roasts, hefty portions of crispy roast potatoes, roaring fires and Yorkies the size of your head.
